Ministry Description Contact Meetings
Altar Servers Youth in this ministry respond to the traditional role of assisting the Priest in celebration of the Mass.  Altar servers provide service at daily Mass, Sunday Mass, Vigils, Funerals and Weddings.  The ministry is open to all girls and boys in the parish in grades 4 and up.  Training sessions are held regularly through the year.  See weekly bulletin for this week's servers. Children's Liturgy Children meet for the readings, response, Gospel, Reflection, Creed and Prayers of the Faithful especially designed for their age and experience, appropriate for children in preschool to 3rd grade. Vickie Giampietro, 503-639-8745 During the Liturgy at the 9:00 AM Mass.
Choir The Choir provides liturgical accompaniment at the 10:45 AM Sunday Mass.  The traditional vocal and instruments beautify the praise and glory of God.  Special events include the Epiphany Concert in January.  For Ministry of Cantor at the 10:45 AM Mass, please contact Vicke Hammes. Thursdays, September-June, 7:30 PM, in the Church
Eucharistic Ministers Eucharist means, first of all, "thanksgiving."  The sacrifice Christ offered once for all on the cross remains ever present.  Parishioners in this ministry help distribute, with dignity and reverence, the Body and Blood of Christ during Mass. Lectors This ministry consists of men and women who proclaim the Word of God at weekend and Holy Day Masses.  This ministry requires preparation through prayer, an understanding of the scriptural text, and an ability to read clearly with appropriate pronunciation and emphasis.  The Word should be proclaimed with humility and reverence so that the Holy Spirit will speak through you.  A commitment to the training and lector schedule requirements of this ministry is necessary. Liturgy Assist the Pastor in the implementation of the ministries of the altar (as listed on this page) and the carrying out of the Sacred Liturgy in our Parish. Parish Office, 503-644-2619  
Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in the Parish Center Chapel.  An Adoration schedule is maintained so that there is always someone present when the Blessed Sacrament is exposed.  See Perpetual Adoration page for more information. St. Anne Guild The guild maintains servers' garments and small altar linens and enjoys several social functions during the year. Donna Schuetze, 503-644-4534 First Tuesday of each month, 1:30 PM, in members homes
St. Therese of Lisieux Guild The guild provides flowers inside and outside the church, Advent Poinsettia sale, and coordinates donations of flowers in memory of loved ones.  St. Therese Guild also provides flowers for weekend Masses.
