1876   Archbishop Francis Norbert Blanchet appoints the Rev. Joseph E. Hermann to care for Catholics in Washington County.
1878   An old log blockhouse, offered by John O'Brien, becomes first regular meeting place in the Cedar Mill area.
1879   Land is purchased for proposed church. (This is present location of Pioneer Cemetery on Murray Road in Cedar Mill.)

1884

  Church is dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua by the Rev. Francis Fierens in absence of Archbishop Charles John Seghers.
1888   St. Anthony School opens under direction of Dominican Sisters.
1893   City of Beaverton is incorporated.
1895   St. Anthony School opens under direction of the Sisters of Mercy of New Zealand.
1897   St. Anthony School and sisters' home destroyed by fire in Cedar Mill.
1902   Sts. Peter and Paul Mission Church on Cooper Mountain is dedicated.
1903   Archbishop Alexander Christie purchases land in Beaverton to establish church there.
1906   St. Anthony School in Cedar Mill destroyed by fire.
1908   Church in Beaverton opens and is dedicated to St. Mary.
1911   The Rev. T. J. Daum is named first resident pastor of St. Mary's.
1912   The Rev. James Patrick O'Flynn becomes pastor and begins drive for funds to finance building of new church and school.
1913   St. Cecilia Church and School is completed and dedicated at the site of what is now Damerow Ford - school opens under the direction of the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon.
1915   Priest's residence in Cedar Mill destroyed by fire.
1916   Parish house built in Beaverton - this still stands as part of the Sunshine Gallery.
1917   Last Mass said at St. Anthony's in Cedar Mill.
1918   The Rev. Joseph M. O'Neill named pastor.
1926   Archbishop Edward D. Howard appointed archbishop of Portland in Oregon.
1935   The Rev. George O'Keefe named pastor - he purchased property where the present church stands.
1944   The Rev. George Sniderhon becomes pastor - during his pastorate, the present church was built.
1949   St. Cecilia Church is dedicated by Archbishop Howard.
1950   The Rev. Anthony Gerace appointed pastor.
1951   Interior finishing on the main body of the church is completed. The first unit of the school is complete and classes begin after Christmas holiday.
1952   School is formally dedicated by Archbishop Edward D. Howard on Sunday, Feb. 24.
1953   Construction of remainder of school is completed.
1954   First Mass is said in St. Pius X Church in Cedar Mill.
1957   Annex added to St. Cecilia Church. Fund-raiser for expansion is held - expansion plans call for convent, church in Aloha, and Cedar Hills area.
1959   Open house is held in new St. Cecilia convent.
1960   Budget appeal made for Cedar Hills, Aloha, and Beaverton churches.
1962   Holy Trinity school building completed.
1963   First Mass said at Holy Trinity on Palm Sunday.
1965   Holy Trinity becomes separate parish. Rectory at St. Cecilia is completed.
1966   Archbishop Edward D. Howard retires. Archbishop Robert Dwyer becomes the sixth Arch bishop of Portland in Oregon.
1974   Archbishop Cornelius Power appointed to succeed Archbishop Robert Dwyer as Archbishop of Portland in Oregon.
1975   The Rev. Anthony Gerace celebrates 25th anniversary as pastor of St. Cecilia Parish.
1976   Parish celebrates 100 years of Catholic history in the area.
